TThough the Roaring Fork Valley is the perfect place to live, everyone needs to get away sometimes. For a quick change of scenery a weekend abroad could be just what the doctor ordered. This is made easy by the Valley’s location in the center of Colorado. Denver is just a quick two and a half hours away, and in between there are a number of National Parks and campsites. For the more adventurous Moab, Utah is just three and a half hours away. So if your itching to get out and see a change of landscape a number of options are close at hand.

Colorado is filled with National Parks, Forests and wildlife. The best way to see these places are to go and spend a few days camping out in the wild. Hiking trails, hidden lakes, ghost towns, Anasazi ruins, are all here in some of Colorado’s parks. So throw a dart at the map and hit the trail!
