Ground TransportationTraveling within the Valley is easily done via RFTA, The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority. Busses run all the way from Aspen to Glenwood almost every half an hour. RFTA also offers bus stops close to every major event or attraction the Valley has to offer. So hop on and help the environment with the affordable and convenient RFTA service. If public transportation doesn’t interest you there are a collection of local professional Taxi services that can take you anywhere from Grand Junction, to Eagle, to Glenwood all from Aspen. Getting around here in the Roaring Fork Valley is never a hard thing to do. |

The Roaring Fork Transit Authority includes all the towns in the Roaring Fork
Valley as well as New Castle. RFTA provides commuter bus service from Aspen to
Glenwood Springs, Glenwood to Rifle, intra-city service in Aspen and Glenwood
Springs, ski shuttle service to the four Aspen Skiing Company ski areas, Maroon
Bells Guided Bus Tours, and a variety of other seasonal services. RFTA currently
operates a fleet of over 75 vehicles and should surpass four million passengers
this year. RFTA uses Biodiesel fuel in all of its fleet of diesel power vehicles
including our hybrid buses.
